March 17 1:00-2:00 Children’s African Dance

Ndilimani Dancing—Dynamite dancing from the African Continent Let’s move and shake those bodies to fun international beats from the African continent. Learn a song, a game and moves from Ghana, South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria and more! Kids are full of energy, so we’re going to let it all out. We’re going to warm up Omaha with some African sunshine and then we can even make it rain—inside!!!! Children First Through Fourth Grade, Price $10 Join us for a Really Fun Time.

March 3 9:00 to 10:30AM Adult Class Omwenyo Tagu Ndanisa—Soul Dance—African movements from the Diaspora

This class will warm you up and get you moving muscles you never knew you had! It can be high- impact or low, depending on your comfort level. We will learn moves from Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, the Caribbean (still part of the African Diaspora!), from Ghana, and even some Northern African belly dance moves! It’s a level of fitness that is fun for the soul. You will learn the history of the moves and how they represent women’s lives. Come dressed comfortably. Price $15

March 8 7:00-8:00PM Women’s Cultural Differences

In honor of International Women’s Day, join us for a presentation about women in Africa. Women face different cultural issues, different challenges, and different benefits. Women, however, possess many commonalities as well. This presentation will challenge your thoughts, your reactions and your theories about women in Africa. There will be time for discussion and sharing following the presentation. . Fee $10
